We only use dumbbells, barbells, resistance bands and body weight in this class. Zero cardio! Yep, you read that right! This class you count your own reps, you go into your own zone and it's you against you. Our instructor is there to guide you on form, and is most commonly heard asking 'Is that weight heavy enough?' because we want you to challenge yourself because that's where the magic happens. Numbers are kept lower for this class for your safety. So what are you waiting for? Meet me at the bar baby :)
The beautiful Brooke Olive is your instructor for these classes. In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques are also integrated. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
All levels welcome
Yin yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Yin is yoga at its coolest, deepest, quietest, stillest moments. This class will have you on the floor most of the time, and poses are held for 2-5 minutes allowing joints and fascia to release. This class will complement your strength training and will open and release areas in need of more stretching.

The quote directly from the Metafit website says ‘Metafit is a high intensity workout including a series of body-weight exercises with interval style training. Designed to keep your body burning calories long after your training session is complete. Designed by a former marine, this is a class you can be sure to push your limits in.’ An ideal class if you are time poor but want results. Including the warm up and cool down you can be in and out in approx. 30mins. A common misperception is that you need to be co-ordinated to participate. It is not an aerobics or dance class. It is simple, full body plyometric and core movements that everybody can do.
But I don't want my a** any bigger I hear you cry. Never fear, this class will help you build muscle in all the right places. We combine big compound moves to get the most bang for buck, and combine them with accessory moves. Some weeks we superset with cardio, other weeks the pace is slowed, but never the intensity. We have changed the programming of this so that it suitable for all levels. Often heard at the end of this class....'That was hard! This is my favourite class.'
8 rounds, 4 mins of work per round. Each round is made up of a 20 secs high intensity exercise, 10 secs rest. Simple? In theory ;) The exercises will vary each week, but we will always aim to provide you a full body, heart thumping workout. This is the third addition to our timetable that is targeted at those who wants results but don’t want to spend hours in the gym. Stop in on your way home from work, blast out a quick Tabata session and head home exhausted but with a fabulous endorphin rush. What a great way to finish your mid-week working hump!
Yep, just as the title says! We have a focus on technique, fitness and fun in these classes. We know that typically men don’t attend group classes as much as women, however this is one that you would love. Also a great class to attend with your teen, a little bonding between punches ;) We have some spare gloves here for you to use, however for hygiene reasons we do recommend bringing you own.
Mat based class. Low impact. Suitable for all levels of fitness. Pilates improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness. Improves muscular and postural strength. A great class if you have had a lower back injury and are in the process of rehabbing.
Ab Blast - What a waist!!
See what we did there? This is a 'give the people what they want' class, and the people want Abs! 30 mins of work solely focused on building that 6 pack. But remember folks, abs are built in the kitchen so the saying goes. We can help you build 'em but you've gotta strip back the fat so you can see them.
