Are there staff there 24/7?  If not, how do I get in?

There are professional staff at the gym between select hours, and outside these times, members can access the gym with an electronic access card.

Staffed hours:

Monday          8:30am-12:00pm  & 4:00pm- 7:30pm

Tuesday         8:30am-12:00pm  & 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Wednesday   8:30am- 2:00pm  &  4:00pm - 7:30pm (between 2-3pm by appointment)

Thursday       8:30am - 1:00pm & 4:00pm - 7:30pm

Friday             9:00am - 12:00pm

Saturday        9:00am - 12:00pm


Can I go to a group training session without being a member?

Yes, a casual visit is $15 per class, with the exception of Yin Yoga on Tuesday evening which is $15.

Are you affiliated with other gyms? 

McRae Fitness is not a chain or franchise, however we are a part of the FitExchange program where you can use other FitExchange gyms for  a small monthly fee.

How much does the crèche cost?

Creche facilities are available to members’ children from the ages of 2 months and costs start from $3.50 per child per session and savings can be made buy buying bulk sessions. Bookings are essential. We also have a direct debit option available.

Do I need to bring my own music / iPod or is there music at the gym?

We have CrowdDJ streaming through the gym at all times.  You are able to choose songs you like through this system. Of course you’re welcome to bring your own device so you can listen to your favourite music if that helps you train.  All our Cardio has built in TV's.  We also have free wifi available.

What equipment is available at McRae Fitness?

We have a full range of Cardio & Strength Equipment by Technogym and Hammer Strength which includes Treadmills, Rowing Machines, Bikes, Cross Trainers, Jacobs ladder,  Specialised Functional Training Machines, Pin-loaded Strength Equipment & also a great selection of Plate Loaded Machines & Free Weights up to 60kg dumbbells. 

In our new Group Training Studio we have a rig, sled track, boxing bags, cardio pieces and weights. When classes are not being held members are free to use the studio. We ask that you do your heavy lifting on the main floor to be respectful to our neighbours.
